We are beginning the year with a big bang - we are welcoming Miss Debra Gilbert to our Horn Lake Library family.
Mr. Jesse Pool, our longtime branch librarian, has transferred to the Hernando branch and Miss Debra will be taking his place.
Not to worry, Jesse will still oversee the Horn Lake branch and will continue to be a part of all the festivities and programming in Horn Lake.
Miss Debra comes to us from the Jackson-Hinds Library system.  Please stop by and say hello - she is excited to learn all about Horn Lake.
We also are excited to host the Horn Lake Chess Club each Saturday from 4:30 - 6:30.  This popular club is for all ages and all skill sets, so please join in the challenge and have fun.
Don't forget we get to meet and socialize with three (3) well known Southern authors on Friday, February 3 at 6:00 pm.
Well known television news anchorwoman Katina Rankin joins historical author (the sinking of the Sultana) Nancy Gentry and international best selling Christian author Billie Cash.
Camp Invention is a Non-Profit STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Enrichment program for DeSoto County children entering grades K-6.
It is backed by the National Inventors Hall of Fame in partnership with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. The 2017 Camp will be held at Horn Lake
Intermediate School June 19 - June 23 from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.  Contact Tymara Dunlap for registration and information.
